looking for information on touing luxembourg,?

will be in belguim this summer and wanted to visit luxembourg and see the county. what and where?

Hi :-) ! I think it is a great choice as well. You can check out the websites given below for first glimpses. I don't know how long you want to stay in Luxembourg but here are some "towns" and villages I would visit for the scenery (nothing in comparison to any other foreign towns LOL): Luxembourg-City, Echternach with its abbey and lake, Remich (maybe you can afford a tour on a boat up to Germany... not far away... think it takes about an hour)... the region (which they all are I suppose) in the North of the country is awesome as well (about an hour's drive with the car from Luxembourg-City) ... Esch-sur-Sûre as an example, part of a natural park.



If you have got the opportunity to rent a bicycle (if indeed you are staying there longer), I would try to stay in the youth hostel in Lultzhausen (in the North: no busy streets). Luxembourg in general is great to cycle (not that I had ever done it but know plenty of people who did LOL) because there are some hills and nature is just great. If you stay in Remich, you can do waterski and cycle up to Grevenmacher or further as well :-) .



If you stay there for longer, train and bus really are great because the country is really small. Plenty of connections. You will get all information at the central train station in Luxembourg-City or at the tourist office in the city-centre. Depending on when you arrive, there is one music festival and other festivities there during summer as well. Enjoy your trip :-) !

Great choice. Luxembourg is very small and nice country. You sure don't want to miss Luxembourg city. Its very small city that you can walk through the city in an hour. I believe the city itself is built on the mountain and residential are on the downslope. The downtown is awsome. Very nice restaurents and nice views of the city. There is another town in Lux. famous for kayaking. I don't habe name with me but you can get that from Tourist Center.



I don't know about your hotel arrangements but I stayed at youth hostel and that hostel was the best i have ever stayed. For 16 $ you get a bed and break fast. The rooms had 4 beds, bathroom and shower. The room was extremly clean.
